Colorado is an educational paradox: we have one of the most highly educated populations in the country, yet we rank among the bottom ten states in sending low-income students to college. It is imperative – economically and socially – that we collectively address this paradox and “grow our own” educated citizens. Dr. Hauser will share with us why CMC has taken on this challenge, and how the college is working to bring education access to first generation and low income college students.
This service is part of our social action commitment this year to educating ourselves about ethnicity and inequality here in the Roaring Fork Valley.
