Jamie LaRue is the Executive Director of the Garfield County Public Library District and the former director of the American Library Association’s Office for Intellectual Freedom. In his over 32 years as an administrator, he has overseen over 1200 challenges to library resources. His essay, On Censorship: A Public Librarian Examines Cancel Culture in the US (Fulcrum Publishing, available September 29, 2023) is available at White River Books in Carbondale.
