For our quarterly Social Justice Service, our featured speaker is Niki Delson, of Two Rivers Unitarian Universalists and The Carbondale Age-Friendly Community Initiative. Niki will speak about the Jewish notion of Tikkun Olam, which means “to heal the world” and has come to express social justice and service in Judaism. Niki will relate how Tikkun Olam animates the work she does in the community with CAFCI—from increasing accessibility to ensuring inclusion—and how we at TRUU can support her.

IN-PERSON SAFETY: TRUU is now back to having live in-person services every Sunday of the month at Third Street Center. Masks are no longer required for attending our in-person events. Please make your decision to wear a mask based on your personal needs and in consideration of the needs of others. All of our services, with the exception of Fellowship Services, will also be streamed online via Facebook and Zoom. The Zoom link is the same each week (information below). Videos of our services will also be posted here on our website, on the Sermon Archive page.

Coffee hour will be held after Sunday services when Rev. Norris is present, provided that enough volunteers have been recruited to adequately prepare and execute this popular social event.
