We welcome Alan Muños, Regional Organizing Manager of Voces Unidas, the first and only Latinx-Led organization dedicated to developing the leaders and organizing the Latinx community to advocate for rights and representation. Alan will describe the group’s accomplishments in 2022, including passing laws ensuring maternal health care, extending in-state tuition to undocumented students and protecting the rights of mobile home residents. He will also discuss what racial justice looks like in the Roaring Fork Valley and productive roles Anglo organizations and congregations can play. Music by Jimmy Byrne. Live in-person service (and online via Zoom).
IN-PERSON SAFETY: The Board has decided to require masks be worn for all in person services and events. We based this on the current surge of cases in the Tripledemic, and are following the recommendations of many public health authorities. We will be providing a box of masks at the door for those who do not have them, and will be paying close attention to trends and public health advisories. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. All of our services, with the exception of Fellowship Services, will also be streamed online each Sunday via Facebook and most Sunays, via Zoom. The Zoom link is the same each week (information below). Videos of our services will also be posted here on our website, on the Sermon Archive page.
Coffee hour will be held after Sunday services when Rev. Norris is present, provided that enough volunteers have been recruited to adequately prepare and execute this popular social event.
