This Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate love in all its wild variations – eros, agape, philia, storge, metta, mudita, karuna – with words from poets, saints, and long-time married couples from within our own congregation (who may be saints in disguise!). What nourishes love? What withers love? Is the cultivation of love just for lovers, or is it a lifelong spiritual practice, whatever our situation?
