"The Heresy of Love" by Rev. Zenshin Florence Caplow

On this Sunday of Valentine’s Day weekend, let’s celebrate the radically inclusive and actually heretical teachings of Universalism. If you go to gatherings of UUs, you will see t-shirts that say, “Love at the Center” and “Love the Hell out of This World.” These both come from our Universalist roots. Rev. Zenshin Florence Caplow will invite us to bring this big love into our hearts.

When: Sunday, February 15th at 10 AM
Where: Third Street Center, Calaway Room
Music: Micha Schoepe & Paul Dankers

All are welcome—especially you (and your friends, and their kids!).

Hello TRUU friends,

A quick highlight from what’s ahead: our TRUU Potluck & Congregational Dinner is on Saturday, 2/21. We’d love to gather with you for good food, good company, and a brief community update on the pledge campaign and staffing plans—followed by plenty of time for conversation and connection. Bring a dish if you’re able (and if not, please come anyway).

A quick follow-up from last Sunday: if you’d like to stay connected with Elliott’s offerings, Rita shared an additional link here: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/share:7422087770397028353/

And if you’re up for something quietly heartening, she also recommends following the final days of the Buddhist Monks’ Walk for Peace (TX to Washington, DC): https://www.facebook.com/walkforpeaceusa

There’s a lot happening in our community right now, so be sure to browse the calendar of events below for more details and additional offerings.

TRUU Potluck & Congregational Dinner

Join us for an evening of good food and good company! Bring a dish to share if you’re able (and if not, please come anyway)—this is about being together.
Alongside the potluck, we’ll offer a brief community update on the pledge campaign and what’s taking shape around staffing plans, then leave plenty of space for conversation, connection, and warmth.

Monday 2/23

Plant-Based Whole Food Potluck & Inspirational Film

You’re warmly invited to an evening of nourishment and connection with our community. Bring a plant-based, whole-food dish to share (enough for 6–8, if you can), and come as you are—whether you’re a longtime plant-based eater, simply curious, or just looking for good company and a meaningful night out.
After we eat, we’ll settle in for an inspirational film and some optional, gentle conversation. No pressure to speak—just a chance to be together, reflect, and leave feeling a little more grounded.
All are welcome. Bring a friend, and if you’re not able to bring food, please come anyway.

TRUUly Transformative - Thanks for being engaged
