Minster’s Musings

Big shifts and changes at TRUU, both sad and exciting. If you haven’t had a chance to read my letter, sent last week, do take a look. I will be leaving, alas, on June 30th, but intend to keep my full focus, passion, and love here until the hour I leave. You are dear to me, and I want to do as much as I can for your future while I’m here. And your Board and some individual members have been working their tails off to make everything come together for a minister parsonage in Carbondale, and miraculously, everything is just about lined up – except your permission! So please come to the special congregational meeting this Sunday after service, especially if you are a member. If we don’t have a quorum (22 members) the parsonage could be delayed or we might even lose this very unique opportunity.
It has been a difficult process, letting you all know that I won’t be staying. But I have high hopes that the right minister is out there, someone who would be able to live in the valley for three years, or even longer. They will be walking into such a sweet, sweet place. I am so grateful for your kindness and support, and you are truly a jewel of a congregation. Come on Sunday to hear more compliments!
